This Time It's Different

I just wanted to start by saying that you did a really nice job with this piece in general. Let's start with...
Things I love about the piece:
-The colors. I love the realistic coloring, and also love how you incorporated many different shades of brown into the fur.
-The background. The background is really well drawn, and I like the ground and how you made the grass subtle. The sky is beautiful, and I love the fading of what looks like nighttime to dawn. What I especially love is how the colors of the background compliment the colors of the wolf.
-The pose. I like how the position of the legs imply movement, and how it looks like the wolf will make a sudden movement and possibly leap into action because of the eager facial expression.
-The facial features. I love everything about the face, the pretty, golden eye; the realistic, well-drawn mouth and tongue; the smooth snout and nose; and the very well-drawn ears. They are also in very good proportion.

What you could improve upon:
-The fur. The fur looks very nice, although you might want to work on blending it so it does not look so clumpy. This is a nice effect, however, and would suggest you use it in some places that really are more clumped, such as the neck, instead of overusing it.
-The anatomy. The anatomy is pretty good, except for the legs and some of the body structure. I would suggest making a broader, lower chest, and have the belly curve in a little toward where it meets the hind legs. It's front right leg is pretty good, except the shoulder area is a little long and you may just want to move the leg up a bit. The front left leg looks okay, except for one section that narrows a bit too much about halfway down. The back right leg needs some work. Have more of a transition between the leg and the hip and not just that sudden point where it turns. Also, the heel part should be higher up and not so close to the transition to the knee, if you know what I mean. It makes the leg seem rectangle-like. The other hind leg has a few of these problems as well. Also, the legs seem to be a bit long in general.

But altogether I think you did a really nice job with this. Try to work on a few of those problem areas, and you'll be good to go!
